gaywrites:

Adding this, a student Q&A, to the list of reasons Rick Santorum makes me cringe. Ugh. More

As much as I strongly dislike Rick Santorum, and all other candidates, he does bring up a point that I think people avoid to even think about. My best friend actually brought this up to me a couple years ago when we were talking about marriage. He said that he thinks if three people truly love each other and can make it work, then they should be together and even perhaps get married if so desired. I was appalled at the time because I had never thought of that kind of situation before. But really, if three or four people are some how in love with each other and make it work, why can’t they get married? Why not? Love is love and if more than two people are in a relationship, they should have the right to make the ultimate promise to each other. I would assume these kinds of relationships are somewhat rare, but who knows. And who cares? It’s their lives, let them be happy.

We don’t see many examples of this. Perhaps these relationships are difficult to maintain and don’t quite work out. If that’s the case, why even pose this question?

Nonetheless, I’d love to punch Rick Santorum in the face. The end.
